Christmas pictures

Here is a few random Christmas photos from this year. It was a blast watching the kids discover their presents under the tree on Christmas morning.

The babies showed up to Christmas at Grandma's wearing the same pj's. It was cute.



This was the coolest present by far. It's a musical marble tree that my dad bought my mom. It's hand made and the sound it makes is really so fun. The boys played with it forever. I'm sure it will be a favorite toy at Grandma's house for a long time.

The picture below is all of us finding the pickle ornament on my mom's tree. It's a family tradition and it's one of my favorite things about Christmas at my mom's house.  We all get pretty competitive every year, there's always lots of pushing and horseplay. Notice that the star has been taken out. Her poor tree took a beating this year.

My favorite things about Christmas this year:

seeing my kids play "Christmas" and dance with their jingle bells

singing carols at bedtime

listening to them sing Christmas songs to themseves as their going to sleep at night
dressing my kids up as Mary and Joseph and Baby Jesus for our own nativity

sharing clementines, love those little things

making Christmas treats with my helpers

kissing Brettly under the mistletoe ;)

 opening Christmas cards together

seeing my house covered in snow for the first time

the ever changing list to Santa A has, I think she's has about a dozen revisions, i really do love it

putting Christmas music and having dance parties break out

declaring the next few days nothing but "watching Christmas movies and staying in our jammies" days

how A announces first thing every morning how many days until Christmas, just three more to go!

fingerprint calendar

We made our Christmas presents from the kids to Grandma and Grandpa today. We made fingerprint art and then glued a little calendar to each page. They turned out so cute. I think they'd be fun to look at all year.

Santa's reindeer

This month is flying by so quickly. I can't believe Christmas is this close. We went to see the reindeer and the Christmas lights tonight. Those reindeer were fiesty. I have this weird thing about large animals. I really am always scared of them biting my kids fingers.  I got bit by a horse once when I was little. It happens, right? But Brett always laughs at me and how nervous I get around those things. I'm trying not to look nervous so I don't pass on any irrational fear but when I see their little fingers by those big teeth I can't help but get scared.  Anyways, we had fun and everybody's fingers survived.

  

And our little bundled up babe slept through it all. I love those cheeks!
