the coolest

I've been taking some time to disconnect for awhile and do some reconnecting with myself, per say. It's been nice, to say the least. There is something to be said about having less distractions and more time to focus on whats important. But I do love having our little family blog to have the kids look back on. I haven't taken pictures of my littles in forever. Really it's just been a few weeks but it feels like so long. I was printing the lasts months pictures and came across these two. This kid is such a stud. Sometimes it feels like he runs my life, which is okay too, but I sure love having him around. Taking care of him has taught me so much, has stretched me and I think I love him all the more because of it. He is conveniently such a neat kid which makes being his momma so fun. If only I could stop him from growing up so fast!

two!

My little boy is two this month. He really is beginning to look like a boy too. The baby in him is mostly gone by now. I'm still trying to understand how the two years has come and gone so quickly. Though I don't feel too sad about it. I feel like I have savored every minute of his babyhood.

 I'm so in love with this little sunshine boy of mine. He is such a happy kid.

I say this all the time but I could just sit and watch him all day and be entertained.

18 months

Oh, this boy of mine. Can I tell you how in love with him I am? He looks more and more like a little boy to me lately. Especially this month. His eighteenth month.  It really has changed him.

He loves shoes and socks. It's so sweet watching him toddle over to me in the morning carrying his shoes to me.

He's busy just like a boy aught to be. Coloring on the walls, pulling everything out of the cupboards, climbing on chairs (onto counters and tables and especially the sink).   I rarely see him just walk. He's always running. It really is non-stop action.  Sometimes I'm really amazed at how busy he keeps me but I know it will be one of those things that I laugh at later.

It's s fun to see his little personality develop. He's getting to be such a funny little guy. So mischievious. His little smirk when he knows he's into some kind of trouble just kills me.



down time

Since I've been sick the last few months we have had a lot of time on our hands around here. My kids

have been so good at finding things to entertain themselves. C has came across our spray bottle a few times and can only figure out how to spray it when it is pointing at him. Still it has kept him happy for the better part of an hour more than once. He startles every time but still thinks it's the best thing.

Time to wrap up in a warm blanket and snuggle with mom. Good thing for this sunshine boy of mine. He makes me laugh so many times throughout the day. Just what I need right now, a little bit of sunshine to get me through this.

the shiner

What's a momma to do? This boy of mine is all boy. Really, it amazes me that we've never made it to the emergency room with him yet. It's bound to happen. When you climb on top of everything and prefer running full speed everywhere to plain ol' walking, including in the bathtub. This little shiner was born as he was spinning around in circles and landed eye first into the corner of our little table. Youch. Brett was just sad that it looked so much better the next day. He was a proud poppa.
