family picture bloopers

I might be the only one that thinks this is funny but I wanted to remember how it was trying to take this years family picture for our Christmas cards. We elected to take them ourselves. I wouldn't do it again, at least not with a two year old. But I did get a good laugh out of these.

From the start, I couldn't get that boy of mine to sit down. And Brett's trying to get a happy smile out of A. And I'm frustrated at my remote.

I love that I'm just clicking away, oblivious to the fact that he's scooting away.

Starting over. A new tactic. It gets really bad here, the baby's spitting up, Brett's done and poor A's face says it all. I think this was at the point that Brett and I started to pack up and then C went and sat down by his sister. Go figure.

We tried again. I don't know why. You've got to love those smiles. It's just that age.

And he's gone again. In the end we went with one of the very first ones. But at least we did get one. That's all that matters, right? Later that day I walked in on A trying out her smiles in the mirror. Poor kid.

  1. awww, cute pics! And.... just let her smile however she wants! She'll have plenty of self-consciousness when she's a teenager :)
